SBE Private Backup

Last updated: October 27, 2026. This notice describes the intended personal backup integration. Google Drive access has not yet been authorized.

Access and purpose

Upon explicit authorization by the owner, the application requests the Google Drive drive.file OAuth scope to create, list, read, update, and delete only application-accessible files used for backup storage and restoration. It does not request broad access to every file in Google Drive.

Data stored

The intended backup workflow encrypts source data locally with Restic before upload. Google Drive will hold encrypted repository files and operational metadata required by Restic. OAuth credentials are intended to remain in restricted local configuration, not within this public website. This website does not accept uploads or collect Google account credentials.

Sharing and retention

Backup archives are intended solely for the owner's use, not sold or shared with third-party advertisers. Google processes uploaded files under its service terms. Backup archives may be retained or removed by the owner through the backup management workflow, subject to Google Drive behavior. Retention schedules and production activation are not yet finalized.

Control and revocation

The owner can revoke application access in Google Account settings and manage application-created Drive files. Revoking access does not automatically remove backup files already stored in Drive. Restoring encrypted archives requires the separate Restic recovery credential.
